12/4/12 2013 Season Meeting is on Monday February 25, 7:30PM at the Chimney Rock Inn restaurant in Bridgewater. Every team interested in playing next year must be represented. Trophies for the 2012 season will be given. No changes in league team or ref fees. The summer season will commence the week of April 22, 2013.

11/27/12 Soccer Centers has adjusted their Wednesday Adult League registration fees for Tri-County League teams playing at their facility! In addition to the lower fees listed below Soccer Centers is offering Tri-County League teams an additional 100 dollars off the fees listed. There is also a Friday Open League offered. See their website for details.

Wednesday Over 30 starting 12/5. 8 weeks, 50 min games. Roster up to 16 players 7v7. Now $880 (regularly $1100). Additional $100 off for teams that never played at Soccer Centers before - $780.00! All games an additional $15 for ref fees. To register with the $100 discount you must contact Roy van Eekert (732-748-4625x19) directly. This discount is valid only for first registration!

8/16/12 The Tricounty Fall Season will Start Saturday Sept. 8, 2012. All games will be played Saturday mornings at 9:30AM. Any present team in the league may enter. The team's Insurance with Bene-Marc is still in effect for the fall and no additional league fee is required. The fall league is open to players over 25. To be scheduled in the fall a team MUST have a HOME FIELD available Saturday mornings. Players from other teams may transfer to a fall team. Depending on number of teams entering will determine weeks of the season. Last year games were being played in December.

If interested, team manager must submit a request by email to jsantobrms@hotmail.com by 9/1/12.

7/18/12 Once regular season scheduled games are played we'll have 2 weeks for make ups. A make up game can be played any day of the week that both teams and a field are available. Check Tricounty BYLAWS for procedures to be followed.

Rosters should be emailed to jsantobrms@hotmail.com by 8/1/12 and are locked on August 1st. Only players on locked rosters can play for a team in August games. Team standings will be FINAL on 8/12/12 for O40 and 8/19/12 for O30 & O48. The top 4 teams in each division will compete in the playoffs as per league bylaws. Semis for O40 to be played 8/16 and for over 30, 8/21. Finals for O40 are 8/23 and for O30, 8/28. Dates for semis and finals may be altered based on field availability.

7/3/12 I am sorry to report that Gerhard Kraut passed away in an accident Friday evening. Gerhard played for the Bridgewater O40 team for years and was well known in the NJ adult soccer community.

6/16/12 Flemington dropped out of the O40A division. All O40A teams will have byes for Flemington's remaining games.

4/28/12 A note from John Santo: I have been informed that some teams are not adhering to the Roster exchange policy approved at the meeting. Since this is a new procedure and it may take some time to get used to, teams that do not provide a roster will not be held accountable until the end of the 4th week of the season UNLESS there is a challenge to one of their players. Starting with games on May 22 & May 24 if a team does not provide a roster to their opponent, the game MUST be played as usual but it will not count in the standings if that team wins the game. It is not considered a forfeit but as a friendly exhibition game. If the team that did supply a roster wins, the game will count in the standings. If the game is a tie, only the team that supplied the roster will get a point.

4/7/12 GFSCII in O30B dropped out and will combine with Panatieri. The new combined team will be called GFSC/Panatieri. O30B teams will have a bye for the games originally scheduled against GFSCII.

4/5/12 West Morris home field changed to Chubb park.

3/19/12 2012 Insurance Certificates are now available.

3/19/12 If you are retired or otherwise available on Friday mornings, you are invited to join a group of retirees playing soccer from 9:30 to approximately 11:30 at Berkeley Height's Snyder Ave Park (turf field). Ladies 35 and over are welcome. Target group for men is around 57 years old. If you need more information email Nick Filannino at nickfilannino@hotmail.com or call him at (908) 230-2390.

3/16/12 Over 40 schedule posted. Due to 3 teams not having fields for the early part of the season, some teams have their home game schedule front loaded. If you had a field for the first half of the season we used it - as only 8 fields were available for the 8 games each week.

3/14/12 Sanofi O30 changed names to Islanders FC. Field for GFSC changed to Clover Hill.

2/29/12 The proposed divisons are shown below. If you have any comments, send them to John Santo. The other pages for 2012 (contacts, field constraints) have not been updated yet, but it was important to publish the divisions as early as possible.

Summary of the League meeting:

There were a lot of injuries last year. Team managers were reminded we are a recreational league and should remind their players of this.

A new rule was implemented concerning game day rosters. It appears in a new section of the rules: Teams will exchange Game Rosters at the ref's coin toss prior to the start of every game. All players must sign when they arrive at the field and have their shirt number and age on the roster. New players may be added till start of second half. Rosters should be preprinted with all members on the team. Players that did not show for the game can be crossed out. If preprinted roster was not brought to the field, opposing team can provide a blank form or use the back of opponents form. Managers should keep all game day rosters till the end of the season. This system will be tested for one year, and re-evaluated at next year's League meeting. The Game Roster form can be found on the Links menu entry.

For playoffs, rosters must be sent to John after last game of season and are frozen for the duration of the playoffs.

In O30 GFSC III dropped and 3 new teams joined. Empire United split into Empire Red and Empire White. 2 additional teams joined - Liga F. Flemington, and Bridgewater HX. In addition, the Stunat team changed its name to Panatieri. With 20 teams, the division will be split into 6 teams in O30A, 8 teams in O30B, and 6 in O30C. A and B teams will play each other 3 times - for 15 games. B teams will play each other twice with a 14 game schedule.

In O40 Polonia Hillsborough dropped and 2 new teams joined, Amici and West Morris. The plan is to go with 2 divisions of 8 teams, 14 games, play everyone in division twice.

In O48 the same 4 teams are back, although the status of Bethlehem/Warren has not been confirmed.

Trophies and plaques were handed out to last years winners. Congratulations to all the teams.

2/10/12 Cross Divisional Play added to League Meeting Agenda.

1/31/12 Insurance this year from Bene-Marc is $11 per player. Team managers must pay the insurance at the League Meeting. The league will not wait for checks to be mailed.

If a team does not pay at the meeting that team will be responsible to contact Bene-Marc and handle their premium payments and certificates. This will only delay them in securing their home field since all municipalities require insurance certificates before they release their fields to teams.

1/25/12 Sorry to report that Hans Salopek passed away earlier this month. Hans was the team manger for the J&J/Ortho/Ethicon team in our league for many years.

1/9/12 Our organizational meeting will be on Monday February 27, 2012 at The Chimney Rock Inn in Bridgewater 7:30PM (back room by restrooms). Every team that will participate this year MUST have a representative at the meeting. The annual league fee of $50 will be collected for each team. Checks are payable to Tricounty Soccer. Each team must have liability insurance in order to use a HOME field.

The 2012 summer season will commence on April 24 for O30 and O48 and April 26 for O40. Will have 15 weeks of regular season play, number of games will be determined by how many teams in the division. Make ups and playoffs will be played in August with championship games played by Sept. 1, 2012.
