FedEx changed home fields again. From now on they will be playing at Irvington Park in Irvington. Directions will be posted as soon as I get them. Also FedEx home games will now start at 10 AM.

    9/19/00
It seems there was some confusion this past weekend where teams are playing their home games during the Fall. To clarify:

    • Tewksbury, Aventis Rayders, and Piscataway are playing at River Road Park in Bedminster.
    • Hunterdon I and II are playing at Lenape Park.
    • FedEx is playing at Black Brook Park in Kenilworth. FedEx home games will start at 11 AM instead of 10 AM due to field availability.
    • The directions page was separated into Fall and Spring/Summer Divisions to avoid confusion for teams that play at different locations in the Summer and Fall.

    9/14/00
New field and directions posted for FedEx.

    9/12/00

    • Team contacts updated for fall Hunterdon I and II.
    • All FedEx home games will be played at 11AM instead of 10AM since they got bumped off their field.
    • FedEx had to change home fields. Directions will be posted soon.

    9/11/00
Fall schedules posted again. Some of the games had to be moved around so no games are played at River Road on 9/23 due to a festival.

    9/7/00
Hunterdon added a second team to the Fall League. There are now 6 teams, 10 games per team, no byes.

    9/5/00
Fall schedule posted. Team contacts and Directions updated for Fall. Only 5 teams entered so schedule has 8 games with 2 byes over 10 weeks. Hunterdon only entered one team. If another team decides to play, they can take the bye slots.

    9/3/00
5 definite teams are playing in the Fall. If Hunterdon enters a 2nd team (status still up in the air), we'll have 6 teams. Otherwise one team will have a bye each week.

    8/19/00

    • The last day for make-up games is September 1.
    • The deadline for entering teams in the Fall League is September 1. First Fall game will be held on Saturday, September 16.

    8/10/00
Sad news from the Hunterdon Soccer Club. Walter Asmus passed away last week. Walter helped the league greatly over the last 15 years and was instrumental in the formation and administration of the Hunterdon Soccer Clubs. He will be sadly missed.

    8/2/00
Team Sites link updated for Hunterdon and a new link was added for Branchburg.

    7/26/00
Added a link for Fall under Divisions. Its time to start planning for the fall season. As in past years, games in the fall will be held on Saturday mornings at 10 AM and the minimum age is 25. Assuming the same start as last year the Fall Division will begin on or around September 9. If you plan to enter a team, please send email to tricounty@att.net. I'll post the responses here as they arrive so teams can see who will be participating.

    7/19/00
National Starch changed their home field. See the Field Directions page.

    7/5/00

    • Contact info updated for Lucent.
    • At our game this evening we met an over-30 goal keeper that recently moved to the area and would like to find a team to play with. If interested contact Justin Cole at (732)-516-1917 (Work #).

    6/10/00

    • Until further notice New Providence II in Over 30B division will be playing their home games at the BARD field in New Providence.

    4/7/00
It has come to our attention that the first Over-40 game is scheduled on the second night of Passover. At the 2/22 League Meeting we agreed to start on 4/27 instead of 4/20. By mistake we did not do this in the schedule. Since the schedules are already out we will let the individual over-40 teams decide whether to play the game on 4/20, or to reschedule it at the end of the season on 8/24. If we do no hear from you we will assume the games will be played on 4/20. If your Over-40 team decides to reschedule the first game please do the following:

    1. Notify your opponent you would like to move the game to 8/24.
    2. Notify John Santo, the referee assigner, by telephone.
    3. Send email to tricounty@att.net so the schedule on the Web can be updated.
The AT&T 40 vs Hunterdon 40-I 4/20 game has already been moved to 8/24.

    4/6/00
    Contacts updated.

    4/4/00
    Summary of League meeting:

    • The following teams owe insurance premiums that must be paid prior to the first game: $42 for the following teams: Bridgewater I & II, Old Blue, Lucent, FLying Dreads, AT&T 40, New Providence 40, Fed-Ex, 5 Hunteron teams. $100 Branchburg, New Brunswick Caribbeans.
    • The new 6-second rule was adopted for goalies for the whole season. Once the goalie has control of the ball with his hands, he has six seconds to get rid of the ball. Unlike the old 4-step rule, there is no limit on the number of steps that can be taken.
    • If a player is challenged for age, it must be done before the game starts.
    • To reschedule a game for reasons other than inclement weather, the other team and the referee assigner must be notified 24 hours in advance.
    • If the ref halts a game due to inclement weather, there is a 30 minute waiting period during which the game may be continued. If the game can not be continued and half-time has been reached, the game counts and the home team should pay the ref. If half-time hasn't been reached the home team should not pay the ref and the League will pay ref.
    • If the ref cancels a game for reasons other than inclement weather, the home team must pay the ref.
    • If a team forfeits they are responsible for the ref fee. If no one from the forfeiting team is present, either the team present can pay the ref and get reimbursed from the League, or the ref can get the fee from the League.
    • A team that forfeits a game and doesn't pay the ref must reimburse the League before their next game or they will not be able to play.

    4/3/00
AT&T dropped out of the Over-30 B division. Unless another team is found, teams will have a bye when they were supposed to play them. The over-40 AT&T team is still playing and has a new team contact.

    3/28/00
Home games added for Anadigics. They will be sharing the River Road Park fields and FedEx field for their first few home games. Every A team now plays them twice.

    3/21/00
Added a few more games for Anadigics. Trying to locate fields for their other games. Link and contact info updated for NB Caribbeans.

    3/16/00

    • A new team, Anadigics, was added to the A divison during the bye. They don't have a home field so will play their games away, provided the field is available. Ref fees should be split 50/50 with them.
    • Several home games had to be swapped to free up fields:
      • Ortho and Hunterdon II swapped home fields on 6/13 and 8/8.
      • Flying Dreads and Hunterdon I swapped home fields on 6/27 and 5/16.
      • Hunterdon III and FedEx swapped fields on 5/16 and 8/1.
      • Piscataway and Branchburg swapped fields on 6/27 and 8/22.
    • Maps were added for some of the home fields.

    3/13/00
Over 30 Division schedules posted. Due to a fair number of teams requesting away games at the beginning of the season, the schedules tend to clump home and away games together. Send mail to tricounty@att.net if you find any conflicts.

    3/11/00
The Over 40 division schedule has been posted. The field sharing in the Over 30A isn't quite settled yet. As soon as it is, the Over30A schedules will be posted (with a little luck, this weekend). Other news:
